Chapter 2. Operations
2.1 NetVue Server Installation
The NetVue software runs on Microsoft 2012 Server OS, which is hosted by VMware ESXi Hypervisor.
Hypervisor is synonymous with the term Virtual Machine Monitor (VMM). The use of Hypervisor removes
the hardware dependency from the software and operating system. Therefore, it is necessary to:
• Configure the IP stack of the VMware Hypervisor
• Gain access to its management via vSphere Client
• Open VM Console to tune IP addresses in Windows OS
• Enable remote management of the Windows OS and NetVue software using either Microsoft Remote
Desktop or TeamViewer.
NOTE: TeamViewer is the required support tool used by CEFD.
2.1.1 Configure the IP address of VMware ESXi Hypervisor from a local console
Connect a monitor, keyboard and mouse to the server to use the VMWare management interface.
