The ‘Configuration | Interface | FE Mgt’ page (Figure 5-8) permits the user to configure the FE
(10/100 BaseT Fast Ethernet) Management (M&C) port.
FE Mgt (Management) Interface
MAC Address – This parameter is read-only and cannot be changed.
IP Address / CIDR Mask – Enter the IP Address and CIDR (Classless Inter-Domain Routing)
Subnet Mask using this box (the valid range for the Subnet Mask is 8–30).
Link Configuration – Use the drop-down menu to select the line speed and duplex setting for the
CDM-840’s FE interface. The available options are:
• Auto
•
100 BaseT / Full Duplex
•
10 BaseT / Full Duplex
•
100 BaseT / Half Duplex
•
10 BaseT / Half Duplex
Note: Auto is the recommended configuration selection.
Negotiated Link Mode – The read-only actual negotiated line speed and duplex setting for the
FE interface is displayed here. The viewable settings are:
• 100 BaseT / Full Duplex
•
10 BaseT / Full Duplex
• 100 BaseT / Half Duplex
•
10 BaseT / Half Duplex
